7.6.0.5 Update Released

The 7.6.0.5 image has been released (image date 2020-01-07). One important fix addresses a bug that was introduced in version 7.6.0.4 only, where saving reports would result in invalid files. In connection with that, our newly added option to save reports specifically to Excel format has been refined and improved. KeyServer has a change to avoid writing incorrect login and logoff events under very specific and rare circumstances. Load times for map pages have been improved, various dashboards and widgets have been improved, and we have corrected some specific issues when using Time Sets.

This release also includes a number of additional bug fixes and enhancements. A complete list of changes can be found here.

Through the use of Sassafras and implementing ITAM practices, The University of Waikato ITS team has been able to reduce the overall computer fleet by 10%, resulting in significant CAPEX and operational savings. This has also led to a lot of new device intelligence in identifying users with multiple devices and more closely associating users with devices, software, and departments in the organisation. We like the automated reporting of usage data and the functionality that Sassafras gives us to help us with good ITAM practices.
