Exhaustive Audit & Usage Reporting
K2’s built-in report templates support hundreds of reports directly from its management console. You’ll find an extensive collection of audit, usage, and compliance reports, plus charting reports such as histograms of maximum concurrent license usage.

You can run reports on individual computers, groups of computers, or your entire enterprise. If you have classified your computers into Divisions to match your organizational structure, then special Division Reports will reflect this structure - sorting and restrictions based on divisions will be available in all reports.

Interactive Reporting & Configuration
The integration of reporting capabilities in the management console is pervasive. Every part of K2’s configuration console can be used to produce detailed or summary reports about software deployment, hardware inventory, utilization, license entitlements, even diagnostics for troubleshooting.

Click on a list window to run reports for all items in the window, click on an item to run reports for that single entity, click on Divisions or Filters or folders to run reports for the items in them. Then select a line in the resulting report and click to run other reports relevant to the selected line.

Every summary report has drill-down capabilities. Internal reports include live links from each reported item directly to K2’s configuration console so you can instantly inspect and reconfigure management options when necessary.

Role and Scope-based Administration
In addition to a fully-privileged administrator account, K2 can be configured for role-based administrative access and scope-based reporting access to anyone within your organization. A single-button setting will limit any assistant administrator to “Report-only” access for convenient configuration of departmental reporting accounts.

Web Reports & Scheduling
K2 includes a dedicated web server component that conveniently installs in seconds. It is optimized to provide direct web browser access to archived, scheduled, and on-demand reports. Report generation queries go directly to the K2 database server without the configuration complexities inherent when depending on other OS services.

The Web Reports home page grants guest access to public reports while managing authenticated access to restricted reports. Notification of newly published reports can be made available through an RSS feed. Since the web server component is part of K2, the web access account privileges are easily managed from the K2 Admin console along with all other K2 accounts.

K2’s complete set of built-in report templates is available as the basis for monthly or weekly management reports that can be scheduled to run automatically. The completed reports can be viewed in any web browser and they are are also fully integrated so they can be viewed from within K2’s interactive Admin console.

Flexible IT Data Integration
K2 does not require any back-end data services from the host OS or third-party processes. The tight integration with its self-contained data server provides for extremely easy deployment of a complete solution. But if your requirements include integration with existing IT operations tools, or you need custom reporting, K2 supports this integration through the following flexible, industry-standard interfaces.
