Yesterday, we added new product definitions for three recent OS releases – Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2012 R2, and Mac 10.9 (Mavericks).
If you have any client computers with Mac OS 10.9 (Mavericks) installed, you will see the 10.9 OS definition in the Products Window thanks to PRS running overnight.
Why don’t I see new Windows OS’s?
On the Windows side, however, you won’t see the new OS definitions unless you have installed KeyAccess 220.127.116.11 ( released yesterday ) on computers running Windows 8.1 or 2012 R2. In fact, you won’t even see 8.1 listed in the Computer Details for computers upgraded to the new Windows OS unless you have also upgraded KeyAccess to version 18.104.22.168 . This is an annoying requirement, caused by a change to a Microsoft API – read more about it here.
